General
Personality-Based
Keep in mind that these aren't exclusive to certain personality types. For example, you might find a mean sim that likes kids, or a nice sim that dislikes them. Also, sims aren't required to have traits based on their personality; sometimes a neat sim is just neat, and not germaphobic or especially organized, for example.

Mean
- Alcoholic: Drinks too often, and is often irresponsible about when and where they drink. It's probably not the best idea to go on a binge the night before your wedding, but this sim just might anyway. If the sim has 4 nice points or less, they will be more likely to pick fights with other sims after drinking. If they have 6 nice points or more, they'll be more likely to be overly friendly (romantic or platonic) with other sims after drinking. Always has at least 5 points in Food.
- Animal Hater/Disliker: They may have an allergy or fear of the particular animal as opposed to plain hatred.
- Cat Disliker
- Dog Disliker
- Bug Disliker
- Bird Disliker
- Horse Disliker
- Cow Disliker
- Sheep Disliker
- Goat Disliker
- Animal Lover: Never has less than 6 animal interest points.
- Cat Lover
- Dog Lover
- Bug Lover
- Bird Lover
- Horse Lover
- Cow Lover
- Sheep Lover
- Goat Lover
- Art Proof: This sim tends to have very bad taste in art and fashion. The colors they pick out for room decorations and clothing tend to clash, if they decorate at all. They never have more than 3 interest points in culture or fashion.
- Art Lover: If they're not artistic themselves, they can still appreciate art. They like buying it, looking at it, and talking about it. If they're rich, they'll probably sponsor a starving artist. They always have at least 7 interest points in culture and at least 6 in fashion.
- Arty: When this sim gains a creativity point, they get another one free. It's the same with arts & crafts hobby points. They never have below 6 interest points in culture.
- Florist
- Manuscript Illuminator
- Painter
- Poet
- Potter
- Prose Author
- Black Thumb: Someone else had better do the gardening!
- Born Salesperson: Always has at least a bronze badge in sales. They never go below four charisma points once they've earned them.
- Brave: Brave sims always have at least 5 paranormal interest points. They'll fight burglars and try to put out fires. A good trait for knights and criminals.
- Cheerful: Cheerful sims help to balance out gloomy sims, and tend to look on the bright side of things. It's easier for them to pick themselves up, dust themselves off, and start all over again.
- Chivalrous: If this sim is athletic, they might long to be an adventuring knight. If this sim is outgoing, they might be a big fan of courtly love. Either way, this sim is polite, maybe even mannerly (see below).
- Cool Headed: See Hot Headed, but in reverse.
- Coward: This sim never has more than 2 paranormal interest points. If this sim is robbed, sees a ghost, is abducted by fairies, etc., his or her aspiration is drained to red. Not recommended for knights or criminals.
- Ditzy: Makes poor choices and doesn't take things seriously. They never get more than 4 logic skill points and may never use the thinking cap.
- Dislikes Outdoors: They never have more than 3 interest points in environment.
- Eccentric: More likely to have an unusual collection of one type of object, or an unusual hobby they're passionate about. More often than not, this sim also has the genius trait (see below).
- Egotistical: More likely to brag, especially if they have achieved a high-scoring want, wins a fight, gets a promotion, wins a game, etc.
- Flirty: As you might guess, this sim tends to flirt more with others. They may or may not stop flirting while in a relationship- it depends on the sim.
- Genius: use Pescado's Batbox to make them "geniuses". They never go below 5 logic points once they've earned them.
- Gloomy: It's harder for these sims to pick themselves up after setbacks. For example, a demotion or just a bad day at work makes the sim want to stay home the day after. It's hard for them to look at the bright side of life.
- Gourmet: These sims shun burnt food, poor-quality food, and simple foods. For them, it's elaborate, hard-to-make dishes all the way, and they often have a fondness for wine. They always have at least 7 interest points in food.
- Handy: When this sim gains a mechanical point, they get a bonus one automatically. It's the same with tinkering hobby points.
- Hot-Headed: To quote from Seri's Ledesia page: "These sims are quick to anger, even if they are normally nice natured. They react quickly to situations where other sims may take pause, especially if their feelings have been hurt or they suspect some has been less than honest. Expect arguments when things go wrong - hopefully someone else will have a cooler head and be able to mediate things before they get really out of hand."
- Irresponsible with Money: This sim will buy what they like, when they like, regardless of household funds.
- Learning Disabled: It's much, much easier for this sim to gain skills practically than studying from a book. (Apologies if this offends anyone; I'm trying to make it general as possible.)
- Low Self-Esteem: This sim doesn't have much confidence in their abilities, and tends to wait for other sims to make the first move, platonically or romatically.
- Lucky
- Mannerly: These sims are more formal than others and less likely to initiate high-level interactions with others early on. (Player, ignore those lightning bolt interactions!) They would much rather Classic Dance than Slow Dance, and instead of fighting or teasing, they'd rather deliver a subtle insult.
- Mooch: Unlikely to get a job or skill. They will go out of their way to live off of the productivity of others- especially if it gives them a free meal or a place to crash. Never has more than two interest points in work.
- Musical: When this sim gains a creativity point, they get an extra one automatically. It's the same with music & dance hobby points. They also never have less than 6 interest points in either entertainment or culture.
- Dancer (with this one, give them an extra body point instead)
- Harpist
- Luteist
- Natural Singing Voice
- Violinist
- Natural Cook: When this sim gains a cooking point, they get a bonus one automatically. It's the same with cuisine hobby points. They also never go below 6 food interest points.
- Outdoorsy: Always has at least 6 environment interest points. When this sim gains a nature hobby point, they get a bonus one automatically.
- Angler: If this sim has no fishing skill badge, give them a bronze one free.
- Birdwatcher
- Bug-Catcher
- Hiker
- Over-Emotional: To quote from Ledesia again: "There are dramatic Sims and then there are overwhelmingly emotional Sims - these Sims fit into the latter category. They feel strongly and deeply alright, but rather than channeling that into action the way dramatic Sims often do, overly-emotional Sims feel with such intensity that they are consumed by them. A simple papercut may result in a two-hour crying session, the sight of a beautiful sunrise in being riveted in place and hardly able to breathe with awe… and don’t even get us started on weddings!"
- Perfectionist: Again, from Ledesia: "Perfectionist Sims hold themselves to an entirely different standard, expecting the best of the best from their lives. Though if that is from themselves or others is an entirely different question of personality…"
- Self-Confident: More likely to go after promotions, strike up new friendships, enter new relationships, etc.
- Squeamish: You probably won't find these sims collecting bugs, and they're often afraid of disease (this isn't a good traits for nuns who work in hospitals), death, gore, spoiled food, and gross or disturbing things in general. But now and again, you might find a sim who likes bug collecting but hates gore, for example. It varies.
- Sweet Tooth: These sims tend to have desserts as their favorite food. They also never have less than 6 food interest points.
- Tomboy
- Uncouth: These overly-friendly sims are more likely to tell dirty jokes, pull pranks, tease, or insult others- often at an especially inappropriate time.
- Unflirty: Mistaken for cold and emotionless, these sims do feel, but may not know how to show it. Unromantic, but capable of love.
- Unlucky
Personality-Based
Keep in mind that these aren't exclusive to certain personality types. For example, you might find a mean sim that likes kids, or a nice sim that dislikes them. Also, sims aren't required to have traits based on their personality; sometimes a neat sim is just neat, and not germaphobic or especially organized, for example.
Neat
- Germaphobic: Someone else will have to change diapers, empty the trash, and clean toilets!
- Organized: You're less likely to find clutter in an organized sim's home.
Sloppy
- Clean Body w/Sloppy Surroundings: These sims are hygenic, but their house itself might not be!
- Disorganized (moderately sloppy only): Disorganized sims tend to leave food out, not put books away, and not make beds, for example.
- Sloppy Body w/Clean Surroundings: This sim may need a shower, but I'll be darned if the house isn't tidy!
Outgoing
- Adventurous: From Ledesia: "They are very happy being out and about. They want to visit places that are new and hate staying in the house for too long (they go stir crazy). They especially want to travel to as many new vacation places as possible! They also try out new outfits and foods with more bravery and boldness than most. Open to more liberal ideas."
- Diva: From Ledesia: "Come on, doesn’t everyone have a little dash of diva inside them? Some tiny part that wants the spot-light to be on them, the whole world fawning at their every movement? Well, this sim doesn’t have a tiny bit of themselves that wants to be like that - they’ve got a whole honking chunk. They want the world to be a nonstop show all about them." This especially tends to pop up on outgoing sims with low nice points.
- Dramatic: Again, from Ledesia: "These Sims tend to take everything to the extremes, especially situations that have a lot of emotion. They’ll express themselves to the fullest in any situation, sometimes well past the point that anyone else would have been comfortable doing so. Singing outside the window of their crush? Most Sims would stop at one or two verses, but these ones will go the full twelve! Giving a victory speech as they crush their mortal enemy? Well, drama-speeches have long been the last minute escape route of many a hero."
- Natural Born Performer: Ledesia again: "These Sims were always meant to be in front of a crowd, on the stage, or in the center of the spotlight. They have a natural flare for drawing the eyes of a crowd and winning their hearts. They play their roles so well and with such devotion that they seem to literally bring their roles to life!" This is a good trait for any sim in the courtier career, or "unemployed" ladies-in-waiting and courtiers.
- Party Animal: Ledesia: "Party time is all the time! Who wouldn’t enjoy the sound of music and the laughter of friends? Party-animals love to make people laugh, but they enjoy the laughter to be in crowds and laced with good food and company. They just can’t stand the sound of a silent house for too long - they throw parties as often as they can get away with it!" Sims with this trait are more likely than others to have the alcoholic trait as well.

- Loner
- Quiet
- Reserved (moderately shy only)
Active
- Ambitious
- Graceful
- Naturally Athletic
- Strong Immune System
Lazy
- Clumsy
- Glutton
- Puny
- Weak Constitution
Playful
- Child at Heart
- Compulsive Gambler
- Immature
- Serious Outlook w/Fast Fun Need Drain
Serious
- Fasts Often: Only if this sim has 7 or more interest points in "school" (see Rugs' default replacement for sim interests here). He or she finds that fasting brings them closer to God, or helps them do penitence, etc. During the fast, they can consume liquids only.
- Frugal
- Impatient with Antics
- Responsible
Nice
- Doormat: Especially nice sims only. They're so nice, other less scrupulous or mature sims can and will take advantage of their generosity and patience.
- Generous: This sim always tithes when they can, and likes to give to the poor.
- Good with Kids: Never has less than 6 interest points in toys, and only has to study the parenting skill halfway (then I give it to them automatically).
- Unjudging: This sim doesn't see good-looking or ugly, bad clothes or good clothes. If the sim is particularly nice, they might be prone to overlooking bad behavior that should be called out on!
Mean
- Bloodthirsty: These sims are always looking for a fight, but they also like dueling for fun. If a knight has this trait, it could be very good or very bad, depending on whose side you're on....
- Dislikes Kids: Or possibly they dislike babies and toddlers but don't mind kids. It varies.
- Snob: From Ledesia: " Oh, this sim has better shoes than that. And who would dare to think about putting such an ugly couch in their house? Honestly, some people! These sims are total snobs, convinced that they have the best of the best - and, if they don’t, quick to come up with excuses that make them come out on top."
- Stingy: Those orphans will just have to figure out how to get food on their own then, won't they?
